Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. of raw honey
  • 2 packets (or 2 tbsp.) gelatin
  • 1 cup of orange juice (preferably pulp-free)
Orange juice is high in micronutrients, such as vitamin C and potassium. Store bought orange juice often contains vitamin D and calcium.

Instructions:

  1. Gather 2 glass bowls, and in one, pour 1/2 cup of the orange juice. Sprinkle the gelatin packets in the bowl and let it stand for one minute.
  2. Heat the leftover orange juice in the separate bowl for 30-60 seconds.
  3. Stir the hot juice into the cool orange juice bowl. Combine the honey into the mixture and whisk for 30 seconds until it is fully dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold, ice cube mold tray, or a 8 x 8 baking tin. Refrigerate for 2 hours or more.
  5. Slice into cubes if needed, or take it out of the molding tray. Serve cold.

Tips

  • Store in a airtight container and refrigerate for further use
  • Squeeze your own orange juice
  • Add powdered probiotics/vitamins into the mixture
  • Use pulp-free juice for a smooth texture
